Our Ladies of the Cemetery

I've always like cemeteries.  My mom used to take us on picnics to one in the town where I grew up.  I've always thought of them as happy resting places.  This morning, I took some pictures of the ladies of the cemetery in Smallville.. I hope you enjoy their peacefulness.

  1. I love cemeteries as well, but I've never had a picnic in one. :) Maybe I'll have to try that sometime.

  2. Cool pics Lisa. I especially like the one who looks like she's gesturing with her hand . . . Kind of like "rock on.". Okay have to take a walk this weekend and visit the ladies :)

  3. My favorite is the 'defiant' angel with her arms crossed, she looks like she's saying, "Yeah right death, you don't scare me." :)

  4. You are a talented photographer. I felt a great sense of calm from these ladies. Cemeteries have that effect on me generally though.

  9. I love cemeteries too. The boys and I often go for walks in our local one, and we've learned so much about history and humanity together. There is a certain peace to some, and the one in our town is beautiful.

  10. Great cemetery photos. They don't make cemeteries like they used to.
